Biography and Stats for T.J. Gretzner

Gretzner graduated from serrano High School in 2008, he played Wide out four years there but was only able to complete his freshman and senior years do to injury. His senior year. He won all league and was runner up for all area. Gretzner caught 21 passes for 450 yrds and helped lead his team to the semi final playoff game where they lost to palm dessert. After H.S. Gretzner went to MT.SAC city college and played through spring and summer ball but soon left mt. sac do to location and finacial issues, Gretzner learned many of his talents at Mt. Sac from their receiver coach Darrin Chiaverini. After MT. SAC Gretzner played receiver with two semi pro teams the first was with the California Cardinals who are part of the LCFL and next the Cali Heat who are in the UFAL. Gretzner continued his college ball @ Victorvalley College. Gretzner finished his freshman yr with VVC with close to 48 catches and nearly 800 yrds. He was nominated for all conference. Gretzners sophmore year was tough do to family issues and some injuries, but he still managed to rack in a few receptions and finish his college career with 1100 yrds receiving in 2 years. After playing at VVC he had a full ride offer to Boise st. he regretally  chose go another route and decided to play arena ball. Tj played his first arena football in Kennewick Wa playing for the Tri Cities fever although he only practiced with the fever, he still learned many things and gained much expeirence. After practicing with the Tri Cities Fever,Gretzner landed a contract with the New Mexico Stars where he played 4 games in 2013 and caught for nearly 350 yards and 4 TD's. Gretzner attended the NFL regional combine in the conclusion of the 2013 season multiple teams had interest in his playing ability including the Raiders and Browns but passed on him for unknown reasons. He resigned with the stars in 2014 and helped them reach the championship, Gretzner suffered an AC tear in the semi finals and missed the championship game in which the Stars lost. Following the 2014 season Gretzner went to camp with the Hamilton Tigercats of the CFL, he was released and eventually signed with the Duke City Gladiators in 2015, While in Duke City Tj played 3 games and only caught for 200 yards due to Hamstring issues. In 2016 Tj Gretzner returned to the New Mexico Stars and had his best professional season of his career he played in 6 games caught for 600 yards and 6 TD's and helped the Stars reach the Semi finals. Gretzner is currently a free agent awaiting multiple CFL workouts!

Personal interest

Gretzner Has many Interests, Raising his 2 year old daughter falls at the top of the list, then there is  "Faith Family and Football" Gretzner says! When Gretzner is done with his playing season he remains in the game an offensive coordinator for the Hope Christian Huskies... Tj plans to eventually retire from playing a become a college football coach. Gretzner says " with out his family, and God everything he has accopmlished thus far would be imposible."
